Downtown stabbing suspect turns himself in

Windsor police say a suspect wanted after a downtown stabbing has been arrested.

Police say Austin Ryall, 25, turned himself in at Windsor Police Headquarters on Wednesday.

Just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, police were called to the 500 block of Ouellette Avenue for a report of a stabbing. Police say a 22-year-old man was found with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital and is in stable condition.

According to the WPS, a verbal altercation took place between the suspect and the victim inside a nightclub. The argument turned physical, and police say the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife, then ran.

Ryall has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and failure to comply with a release order (x 2).
