A Chatham couple is debuting their five-part, locally produced TV series soon.

‘Deep Southwest’ will debut on Bell Fibe TV1 service in March after an official launch March 8.

A special preview event will be held at the Capitol Theatre starting at 6 p.m.

The series was filmed entirely in Chatham-Kent by a local cast and crew, according to a news release from Whalen Entertainment.

It’s a company co-founded by husband-and-wife country artists Megan and Patrick Whalen.

The series was produced by Ben Srokosz of OOAK Productions and it “follows a husband-and-wife country band on their quest to play at the coveted Hawaiian Pizza Festival in their small-town community of Chatham-Kent,” the release reads.

“But with a major hurdle standing in their way—gaining 10,000 social media followers—will they find Pizza Fest glory, or end up with the cold, discarded crust of failure?”

At the event on March 8, movie-goers will be treated to a red-carpet experience screening of the show with a Q&A after, hosted by the Whalens and Srokosz.

If you’d like to attend the screening, you can grab your tickets here.
