$20,000 of fentanyl seized, stolen vehicle recovered: WPS

The Windsor Police Service has laid charges after $20,000 of fentanyl was seized from a stolen vehicle.

On Jan. 19, police located the vehicle parked in the 2000 block of Ypres Avenue. Through the investigation, video surveillance footage was obtained, showing a man using the stolen vehicle.

On Thursday, the suspect was found and arrested in the 400 block of Glengarry Avenue. During the arrest, just over 81 grams of fentanyl was seized.

As a result of the two incidents, a 55-year-old man is now facing charges for possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
