After a chilly start to the day, with temperatures between -1°C and 6°C around sunrise, sunshine is warming up Vancouver Island.
Today’s highs are set to reach 9°C to 12°C; again, above seasonal average. This isn’t just a brief break. Our weather will be like this all week thanks to a building ridge of high pressure. The next front brings rain to the island on Friday, first to the north island then making its way south.
A breezy break between fronts on Saturday will give us another sunny day before a few showers return on Sunday.
