Halloween forecast: Wet, cool conditions expected in Toronto on Oct. 31

Umbrellas will be an essential accessory for trick-or-treaters with rain in the forecast on Halloween.

Environment Canada says there is a 70 per cent chance of showers in Toronto on Friday along with a high of 8 C, about two degrees cooler than the average high for this time of year.

Sunshine and a high of 12 C are in the forecast for Wednesday but CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter says wet and windy weather will arrive Thursday and linger into Friday.

The national weather agency is calling for rain and a high of 8 C on Thursday.

Torontonians are well accustomed to unpredictable weather on Oct. 31.

Last year, trick-or-treaters saw balmy conditions, with a high of 22.5 C recorded at Pearson airport on Halloween.

In 2023, the city saw a high of just 6 C on Oct. 31.
