Royals fall to Seattle Thunderbirds

The Victoria Royals dropped a 3-1 decision to the Seattle Thunderbirds on Friday night at the ShoWare Center.
Thunderbirds’ forward Alexander True tallied a pair of goals, including the game winner early in the middle frame. Seattle’s Nolan Volcan added insurance for the homeside in the final stanza. Victoria’s Chaz Reddekopp registered the club’s lone goal on the powerplay in the third period.
Royals’ netminder Dylan Myskiw, who made his first career WHL start, stopped 24 of the 27 shots directed at him. Thunderbirds’ goaltender Rylan Toth turned aside 28 of the 29 pucks he faced.
Victoria held a mark of 1/6=16.7% on the man-advantage, while Seattle went 1/4=25.0%.
