Man wanted for sexual offences may be in B.C., police say

Mounties are asking for the public’s help to find a man accused of sexual offences who has warrants out for his arrest in B.C. and Alberta.

Police say 33-year-old Kyle Soloway’s last known residence was the Salvation Army New Hope Centre in Nanaimo, where he was living in August.

Soloway is wanted in Alberta for charges of sexual assault, sexual contact with a child and failing to comply with a release order, allegedly committed in Red Deer in 2023, according to a news release. A warrant is also out for his arrest in B.C. for allegedly failing to comply with a court order in Nanaimo this August.

The Nanaimo RCMP describes Soloway as a 6’1” white man weighing 180 pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tribal tattoo on his upper right arm, a cross tattoo on his left hand and a tattoo of Chinese writing on his upper left arm.

Anyone with information on Soloway’s whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo detachment at 250-754-2345.
