A 16-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly stabbing a taxi driver in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside Tuesday night.
The Vancouver Police Department says an off-duty officer witnessed the stabbing near Main and East Hastings streets shortly after 9:30 p.m. and alerted working members who arrested the suspect.
The 59-year-old victim was taken to hospital for a non-life-threatening injury, police said.
Meanwhile, the suspect, who police say is from Richmond, has been charged with aggravated assault and is in custody.
