A 71-year-old man was shot and seriously injured in Burnaby Saturday night, according to authorities.
Officers were called to a “wooded area” near Highway 1 and Willingdon Avenue around 10:15 p.m., a news release from the Burnaby RCMP said.
“The injured victim, who appears to have been living in the wooded area, was located and taken to the hospital where he is continuing to undergo treatment,” Mounties said.
“While the victim’s injuries appear serious, he is in stable condition.”
