Three people were taken to hospital, including a pedestrian with several serious injuries, after a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Burnaby, B.C.

Investigators are seeking witnesses and dashcam video of the collision, which was reported at 12:20 p.m. near the intersection of Lougheed Highway and Brighton Avenue.

A statement from the Burnaby RCMP says two vehicles were involved in the primary collision.

“One vehicle was travelling eastbound on Lougheed Highway when another vehicle travelling westbound began making a southbound turn onto Brighton Avenue,” the statement said. “One of these vehicles struck a pedestrian and ran into a commercial vehicle.”

Another vehicle was struck by one of the primary vehicles and sustained minor damage, police said.
