Hit-and-run in Delta, B.C., leaves pedestrian seriously injured

A man has been hospitalized following a hit and run in Delta, B.C.

Officers were called to reports of a pedestrian hit by a car at the intersection of 66th Avenue and Scott Road at around 7 a.m. Sunday morning, Delta police said in a statement Sunday afternoon.

Police arrived to find a 25-year-old man with “serious and extensive” injuries, police said. The driver of the car had fled the scene.

“The suspect vehicle is described as a black car, likely a sedan, that had been travelling southbound on Scott Road at the time of the collision,” said the statement.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has relevant dash cam video or can determine the owner of the suspect vehicle, is asked to contact the Delta Police at [phone] and quote file number 2025-1521.

Scott Road will remain closed in both directions, between 64th Avenue and Wade Road, while the investigation continues, police said.
