Drivers have been warned to expect delays along Highway 1 following a collision involving a semi-truck and a sedan Monday morning.

B.C. Highway Patrol said the two vehicles crashed while heading through Langley Township, near 264 Street, around 11:15 a.m.

“The driver of the sedan has been taken to hospital with what appear to be minor injuries,” said Cpl. Michael McLaughlin, in a news release.

The collision forced a partial closure of Highway 1 westbound for approximately an hour. While the route has since reopened, officials said drivers could face delays in the early afternoon.

“Please be alert and obey the direction of police and traffic control personnel at the scene,” McLaughlin said.
