Authorities are asking for the public’s help finding a missing sculpture of Jesus Christ that was recently stolen from a cemetery crucifix in B.C.’s Okanagan.

The corpus sculpture disappeared from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Cemetery on Kelowna’s Sexsmith Road sometime between Jan. 10 and 15, according to the RCMP.

In a news release Tuesday, Kelowna RCMP noted the corpus has “religious and cultural significance,” and urged anyone with information on the theft to come forward.

“Police are hoping, due to the uniqueness and size of the corpus, that someone knows of its whereabouts,” the detachment wrote.

Authorities said the sculpture is about four feet tall by three feet wide, has one broken foot, and is believed to be made out of clay.
