North Vancouver RCMP shared this photo of a truck seized from someone who was arrested for impersonating an officer.

A man has been arrested for impersonating a police officer in North Vancouver, according to authorities, who are appealing for anyone who has been pulled over by the fake cop to come forward.

On March 1, a Tesla driver was pulled over by a man in an F-150 pickup with lights flashing, police said.

“During the interaction, the driver of the F-150 identified himself as a North Vancouver RCMP officer and had flashing red, and white lights displayed,” according to a news release from the North Vancouver RCMP.

“The driver was not wearing a police uniform, did not have any police equipment on his person and did not provide a police identification.”The fake Mountie was arrested three days later, and his vehicle was seized, police added.

The North Vancouver RCMP released a photo of the F150, hoping that others pulled over by the counterfeit cop will contact the actual police.

“We are asking anyone who may have been pulled over by this vehicle to take note of key identifying details,” said spokesperson Cpl. Mansoor Sahak.

“The truck has a light bar placed on the lower centre of the windshield, which resembles lighting used on police vehicles. If you recall seeing these features and had a similar interaction, we encourage you to come forward and speak with investigators.”
