A B.C. chiropractor has been suspended from practicing for seven days after a regulatory investigation found he committed sexual misconduct. Tyler Jackson, of Kamloops, had already been banned from contacting his patients by text or social media back in March, as the College of Complementary Health Professionals investigated a 2025 complaint that he’d exchanged sexually explicit images with a patient. While the complaint that triggered the investigation included allegations of excessive billing and treatment frequency, the disciplinary order does not indicate that the college made any findings on those allegations, “The investigation revealed that the respondent mutually exchanged text messages of sexual nature with a patient, resulting in a complaint being made by a third party,” the order states. The regulator says Jackson admitted to committing sexual misconduct and “failing to adequately terminate the therapeutic relationship.” As part of a consent order signed Aug. 7, Jackson accepted a reprimand, agreed not to repeat the conduct and was suspended from practice for seven days.
