A three vehicle crash near Qualicum Bay sent two people to hospital on Wednesday.
The crash happened around 4 p.m. on Highway 19 at Horne Lake Road.
RCMP say a car, a pickup truck and a semi-trailer were all travelling southbound when the semi crashed into the other vehicles.
The jaws of life were used to get the drivers out of the car and the pickup.
The severity of the injuries isn’t clear.
The southbound lanes of the highway were shut down for several hours and re-opened around 9 p.m.
