'Come in and explore': BC Aviation Museum holds first open house since pandemic

After being grounded for the past three years due to the pandemic, volunteers at the BC Aviation Museum in North Saanich, B.C., are ready for takeoff with the facility’s first open house since 2019. This weekend, more than 40 tour guides will be on hand to provide visitors with an in-depth look into B.C.’s aviation history.

Victoria doctor says controversial retainer fee under review

A Victoria doctor that had asked her patients to pay a monthly $125 fee for expanded services says she's putting the idea on hold as her team reviews the policy. The fee's initial announcement didn't sit well with everyone, with one patient telling CTV News that they had concerns about their future care since they couldn't afford the new charge.

Mounties deem Nanaimo death a homicide, ID victim

Mounties say a man who was found dead after a Nanaimo, B.C., house fire last week was the victim of a homicide. Police identified the victim in a statement Monday as Trevor Stross, 40. The RCMP is releasing the man's identity in an effort to further their investigation, police said.

Medical investigator rules Baldwin set shooting an accident

The fatal film-set shooting of a cinematographer by actor Alec Baldwin last year was an accident, according to a determination made by New Mexico's Office of the Medical Investigator following the completion of an autopsy and a review of law enforcement reports. The medical investigator's report was made public Monday by the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office along with numerous reports from the FBI on the revolver and ammunition that were collected following the shooting.
