Saskatoon to host 2026 Canadian Senior Curling Championships

Canada’s top senior curlers will battle it out at Saskatoon’s Nutana Curling Club next year.

The city will host the best 50-and-over men’s and women’s curling teams from Dec. 6 to 13, 2026, for the Canadian Senior Curling Championships.

It’s one of two major curling events in a short timeframe, with Saskatoon also set to host the 2027 Montana’s Brier less than three months later.

The last time the province hosted the Canadian Senior Curling Championship was 2008, when it was held in Prince Albert. Team Eugene Hritzik won the men’s title for the host province. British Columbia’s Team Pat Sanders claimed gold for the women.

Saskatoon’s Nutana Curling Club last hosted the championship in 1999. British Columbia’s Team Ken Watson won the men’s title, while Quebec’s Team Agnes Charette won her first of back-to-back championships.

The winners of the 2026 event in Saskatoon will represent Canada at the 2027 World Senior Curling Championships,

The 2025 Canadian Senior Curling Championships wrapped up this past weekend in Ottawa. Saskatchewan’s Team Bruce Korte, which curls out of the Nutana Curling Club, won the men’s title. Ontario’s Team Sherri Midaugh claimed the women’s title, defeating Saskatchewan’s Team Amber Holland in the final.
