Saskatchewan Huskies down Spartans, move on to conference semi-finals

The Saskatchewan Huskies women’s basketball team continued their dominance on the court this weekend.

The Huskies scored 28 points in the third quarter en route to an 83-57 win over the Trinity Western Spartans in a Canada-West conference quarterfinal playoff matchup.

Andrea Dodig led the way with 14 points for the Huskies, while Courtney Primeau notched 13 points and Gage Grassick got 12.

With the victory, the top-seeded Huskies earned their 19th win in a row, dating back to the early weeks of the regular season.

Saskatchewan now moves on to host a conference semi-final game against the University of Fraser Valley Cascades, a team they haven’t played yet this year.

Tip-off for Saturday’s conference semi-final is at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Physical Activity Complex.
