Sask. police arrest man connected to 3 robberies

Prince Albert police have charged a man in connection to three recent robberies in the city.

Police were called to a business in the 600 block of 15^th Avenue East around 11:30 a.m. Nov. 1, where the suspect, who was armed with a knife, stole cash and merchandise. He had fled the scene before the police arrived, according to a news release from the Prince Albert Police Service.

Police were then called to another business across the street, for another robbery. A person matching the description of the suspect produced a knife and demanded money, but left without money or merchandise.

Around 9 p.m. that evening police responded to the 800 block of 5^th Street East for a third robbery.

The suspect, again matching the description from the previous robberies, once again threatened staff with a knife, before fleeing in a vehicle.

Police found the vehicle on River Street East and arrested the driver.
