The Tor Hill Golf Course has expanded their winter snow trails by adding one specifically for fat-biking and snowshoeing.
Located a few kilometers northeast of Regina, the property has been turned into an area for outdoor adventure in the winter months.

With the added trail, the City of Regina hopes to get more people outside and active.
“We live in a winter city, so we want to be able to get out and do stuff in the winter,” said Erica Frank, the coordinator of winter city strategy at the City of Regina.
“It was a really great use to turn this into a winter hub where there are multiple amenities and multiple tracks for people to use.”
The fat-bike trail is currently 2.5 kilometres long.
Jim Carlson took the opportunity to try the new trail with his fat-bike. He sees the activities available at the Tor Hill Golf Course as a great opportunity for the public to get active.
“It gets people outdoors. Whether we like it or not, we live here so we might as well embrace it. We enjoy it immensely,” he said.

There are currently no numbers being kept to determine how many people are using the trails.
The City of Regina hopes more people learn about the area and winter activities become more popular.
“It’s very beautiful here. It’s nice to be outside the city, out of the urban environment and really get to enjoy the outdoors,” Frank said.
The gates are open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
There are currently no costs to enter.
