Two people are facing drug related charges after Regina police conducted a traffic stop early Sunday morning on the 1200 block of King Street.
According to a Regina police news release, officers pulled the vehicle over around 1:05 a.m. and noticed items consistent with drug trafficking when they approached to speak to the driver.
As result, a 27-year-old was arrested and charged with three counts of a schedule substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of counterfeit money, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order.
A 40-year-old is facing the same charges as well as obstruction of a peace officer, possession of an identity document and failing to comply with conditions of a release order.
Both of the accused made their first court appearances Monday morning, Regina police said.
