A miniature Christmas village made of decorative houses and buildings has been slowly growing in a Regina home.
During the early 1990’s, the Hexham family was gifted two miniature decorative buildings. The gift was the beginning of a Christmas tradition for the family.
"It takes about a month to put it together. Our grandkids love it. We like doing it," said Gary Hexham, the collector of the Christmas village.
The village is made up of 108 structures. Hexham said the majority of them were found in Regina, with some coming from Banff, Alta.

The Christmas scene is displayed in a section of the Hexham home. It is placed on top of large sections of plywood with many electrical cords throughout the space.
Currently, the size of the scene is at a standstill due to not enough space.
Some of the unique pieces include a car dealership, a water tower, as well as a railway station.
Neighbors and other interests people regularly come to view it. But Hexham is pleased his grandkids have taken interest in the scene.
"It’s enjoyable work. I like it," he added.
"You sit back and realize what you have and the people enjoy it."
