Sign of spring: Milky Way officially opens for 2025 season

WATCH: Milky Way Ice Cream has opened for the season in Regina, with pistachio as their flavour for opening day.

The signs of spring across Regina are becoming more obvious day-by-day. Now, a hallmark of warm weather in the Queen City is open for business.

Milky Way Ice Cream, known for its legendary soft serve, officially opened its doors at 11 a.m. Thursday. The opening was greeting by sunny skies and no snow – as the daytime high is expected to reach 1 C.

“Looking forward to a great year filled with sunshine, warmth and smiling faces … oh yeah and ice cream,” the business shared on social media.

The ice cream parlour will be offering pistachio as its flavour for opening day.

Milky Way Ice Cream has been a seasonal staple of Regina’s ice cream scene since it opened in 1956.
