Regina woman arrested after weekend assault, robbery

A 20-year-old woman is facing robbery charges after an incident over the weekend in Regina.

Police were called around 7:40 p.m. Friday to a business on the 1200 block of Albert Street following a report of a robbery in progress.

Officers found a woman who had been assaulted with a knife and punched. She was treated on scene for minor injuries.

Additionally, the suspect had stolen the victim’s cell phone. Officers found the suspect a short distance away and took them into custody without further incident.

She faces charges of robbery and failure to comply, and made her first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on Dec. 1.
