Regina Community Fridge rebuilt thanks to anonymous donor

After a fire destroyed a community fridge last month in North Central Regina, an anonymous donor helped restock it with new shelves

An anonymous donation is helping the Regina Community Fridge get back on its feet in North Central Regina.

The donation provided new shelving for the fridge, the latest addition since a deliberate fire destroyed the community fridge on Dec. 2.

The fridge is regularly used by residents seeking food, with contributions coming from local residents, organizations, and businesses. It operates on a “take what you need, leave what you can” system, with no rules or registration required.

A community meeting to discuss the fridge’s future is scheduled for Jan. 21 at the Indigenous Christian Fellowship.
