Approximately 15 soldiers will be conducting a military patrol training exercise on the trails surrounding Wascana Lake in Regina on Saturday.
The soldiers are from the 38 Canadian Brigade Group’s 38 Signal Regiment and will be active in the area from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., a news release from the Department of National Defence outlined.
According to the release, soldiers will be carrying unloaded weapons while practicing basic patrol skills and radio procedure.

“The 38 Signal Regiment is the communications unit of 38 Canadian Brigade Group, part of the Army Reserve of the Canadian Armed Forces,” the department explained.
“Their teams of signalers establish tactical medium and long-range radio networks, satellite rear links, local cable networks, commercial network connectivity, and Army computer networks.”
