Jacob Carr

Jacob Carr was born in Oak Harbor, Washington before a brief stint in San Antonio Texas, and then moving to Regina in 1995 where he has been ever since - if you don’t count a couple of short stays in Saskatoon and Montreal. Jacob graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 2020, before spending nearly four years as a sports reporter for Global Regina. Now with CTV Regina since May of 2025, Jacob loves to tell local stories, particularly features and human-interest stories. Despite what CTV Your Morning Saskatchewan Anchor Darrell Romuld might tell you, Jacob is a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, NOT a Dallas Cowboys fan. Jacob is engaged to his wonderful fiancée Mychaela, with their wedding coming up in early October. They share the house with their two dogs (Sadie and Rosa), three cats (Tonks, River and Otis Redding), and tarantula (Gertie). He speaks English.
