Public pay respects to fallen Mountie in motorcade
The public paid their respects as West Shore RCMP escorted the body of Const. Sarah Beckett in a motorcade Thursday afternoon.
The force was accompanied by police members, paramedics and fire crews from across the South Island.
The motorcade left Victoria General Hospital at 11:30 a.m. and drove along Watkiss Way, Helmcken Road, Wilkinson Road, Royal Oak Drive and onto the Pat Bay Highway.
It then took the McTavish exit onto Canora Road and end at the Shell Aerocentre near the main Victoria Airport control tower.
