The Ottawa Redblacks will be heading to Kingston, Ont. for training camp this spring.

The Redblacks announced it will host its 2025 training camp at Richardson Stadium on the campus of Queen’s University, beginning on May 11.

All training camp practices will be open to the public.

This will be the first time the Redblacks have not hosted training camp at TD Place since 2014, when the club held camp at Carleton University.

“We are excited for the opportunity to come together at Queen’s for our 2025 Training Camp,” Shawn Burke, Redblacks general manager, said in a statement.

“We are grateful to have the opportunity to utilize their first-class facilities to prepare as a team for the 2025 season.”

While at Queen’s University, the players will stay in residence and eat at the university dining halls.

The Redblacks will host a Fan Fest at Queen’s University on May 17. The CFL club says it will announce practice times and more information about Fan Fest at a later date.

The Lang Pavilion at Richardson Stadium underwent renovations in 2023, including a state-of-the-art locker room and team facility on the campus of Queen’s University.

“Bringing the CFL to Kingston and to Queen’s will make for an exciting spring of football here.” Steve Snyder, Queen’s University head football coach, said in a statement released by Queen’s.

“Having a CFL training camp operate out of our facility is a really special opportunity for our student-athletes, coaches and community.”

The Redblacks will kick off the CFL preseason on May 30 at TD Place against the Montreal Alouettes.
