Ottawa police seeking suspect in assault at Barrhaven bus stop

The Ottawa Police Service is seeking public assistance in identifying a woman who allegedly assaulted a person at a Barrhaven bus stop last month.

Police say the incident happened in the area of Greenbank Road and Marketplace Avenue on Feb. 27 at approximately 3:50 p.m.

The victim was waiting for a bus when the suspect approached and began kicking them, police say.

The suspect then left the area on foot towards Marketplace Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white woman, between 30 and 40-years-old, approximately 5-foot-7 (170 cm) with a slim build.

At the time of the incident, she was wearing a grey or green jacket, purple toque and brown boots. She was also carrying a backpack and blue shopping bag.
