Temperature to hit 20 C in Ottawa today

It will be a warm and sunny start to the work week in Ottawa, with the temperature expected to hit 20 C for the fourth time in April.

The temperature warmed up to 19.6 C on Sunday. The warmest day so far this month has been 24.9 C, set back on April 18.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for a mainly sunny day today. High 20 C.

It will be clear tonight. Low 7 C.

Tuesday will be sunny to start the day, with increasing cloudiness in the morning and then showers. High 19 C.

Wednesday will be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers. High 14 C.

The outlook for Thursday calls for mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers. High 13 C.

Friday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a 40 per cent chance of showers or flurries. High 12 C.

The normal temperatures for this time of year are a high of 15 C and a low of 4 C.

The temperature hit 20 C three times during April 2025.

Sunrise before 6 a.m.

The sun is now rising before 6 a.m. in Ottawa.

Sunrise was at 5:58 a.m. on Monday. Sunrise was also before 6 a.m. on Sunday for the first time this year.
