Police have arrested three people in connection with a “month-long crime spree” involving several alleged thefts and other incidents in the Lanark County area.
Ontario Provincial Police in Lanark, Leeds and Grenville counties say they began an investigation in March when various crimes across the region were reported.
“A vehicle, its driver and passengers were involved in several thefts as well multiple incidents in which the individuals refused to stop for police,” OPP said in a news release Monday.
As part of an investigation, police say officers were able to identify the suspects through surveillance video.
Last Thursday, officers located the vehicle in a parking lot in Kemptville and were able to block the vehicle from leaving to prevent it from posing a further risk to the public, police say.
Three people were arrested at the scene.
