Police looking for victims following investigation leading to voyeurism charges

The Ottawa Police Service is asking for information about two pickup trucks allegedly involved in multiple complaints about suspicious incidents that happened over the last few years within Stittsville and the villages of Richmond, Kars and North Gower.

Photos of two pickup trucks were released Thursday by police.

This comes after a 30-year-old Ottawa man was charged with voyeurism and harassment charges following a six-month investigation. The investigation started when police received multiple calls reporting a suspicious vehicle was parked near a Stittsville home at night, officers say.

Police say they discovered later that multiple different homes were targeted.

“Each of these incidents included one of the two pickup trucks parking near residential homes with lit, unobstructed windows that belonged to young females,” police said in a news release Thursday.

Police note that the sightings happened after nightfall.

The 30-year-old was charged with four counts of voyeurism, two counts of criminal harassment and two counts of mischief.

He appeared in court Jan. 8.

Police believe there may be additional victims and are seeking witnesses to report any similar incidents.
