Ottawa police asking public to help ID suspect in arson investigation

Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help identifying a person suspected of setting a fire in the ByWard Market and Lowertown area last week.

Police said an individual set some cardboard boxes on fire near a home in the 200 block of Clarence Street, near King Edward Avenue, at around 11:30 p.m. on April 7. The owners were home at the time.

Police describe the suspect as white, with bob-style dark hair, wearing winter clothing.
