Ontario Provincial Police say two people are dead after a fire in Quinte West.

Emergency responders were called to a trailer park on Highway 2 at around 6 p.m. Thursday, where they found a residential trailer fully engulfed in flames.

Police said one adult and two children were able to escape, but a one-year-old child and a 66-year-old woman died.

A 64-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The two surviving children were transported to a children’s hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Quinte West OPP Crime Unit, the Office of the Fire Marshal and Office of the Chief Coroner are investigating.
