Suspect at-large after shots fired inside Petawawa apartment building

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a firearm was discharged inside a Petawawa, Ont. apartment building Saturday morning.

Police say officers responded to a report of shots being fired in an empty hallway of a building in the 0-100 block of Wolfe Avenue at approximately 10:30 a.m.

No one was injured.

The person allegedly responsible fled on foot in an unknown direction. Police say they are considered armed and a risk to public safety.

The person is described as a white male in his 30s, thin build and approximately 5 feet 10 inches (178 cm) tall.

He was wearing a dark coloured medical mask, dark jacket and dark pants.

If seen, police say not to approach him and to call 911.

An investigation is ongoing.
