Man treated for injuries after late night stabbing in Ottawa’s ByWard Market

A man was treated for injuries after a Wednesday night stabbing in Ottawa’s ByWard Market. CTV Morning Live’s Stefan Keyes has more.

A man is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries after an evening stabbing in Ottawa’s ByWard Market.

Emergency crews responded to a call for a stabbing in the area of William Street, near Rideau Street, just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

An Ottawa Paramedic Services spokesperson tells CTV News Ottawa a man was treated at the scene and taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.

An Ottawa Police Service spokesperson says an investigation is underway.

“Police responded to a call for a person with non-life-threatening injuries,” police said. “An investigation is underway to determine what occurred.”
