The alleged incident happened in August 2024. The officer was arrested in Napanee Ont. by the Durham Regional Police Service Thursday.
“The Kingston police were first made aware of the incident in October 2024, and the Durham Regional Police Service were contacted and commenced an independent investigation into the incident,” police said in a news release Friday.
Kingston police did not provide information about the incident.
The officer, Sgt. Jason Alblas, has been suspended from duty without pay and was released with a future court date.
