Gatineau police say a 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with alleged sexual assaults that date back to 2023.
Police say the incidents involve a man contacting victims via social media, meeting them somewhere in Gatineau, and then taking them to his car, where the alleged assaults occurred. The vehicle is described as a blue 2024 Volkswagen Golf R, but the accused is believed to have owned other cars in the past.

Police claim the alleged victims could be as young as 14.
Fawaz Sultan Al-Jalloud was arrested Wednesday and is charged with sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching, and criminal harassment. Additional charges could be laid, police said, as the Sûreté du Québec is now also involved in the investigation.
The charges have not been proven in court.
Al-Jalloud has been released from custody with several conditions, including not being in a public area where people under the age of 16 might be present, not using the internet except under parental supervision, and not being in the presence of minors.
Gatineau police are asking any victims or witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to come forward by calling the info line at 819-243-4636, option 5.
