Ceilings, often called the “forgotten fifth wall,” are becoming a focal point, with textured designs that can create the illusion of height or make a large room feel cozier. From wallpaper to wood paneling, adding texture and personality to your home moves away from cookie-cutter, overly minimalist designs. The result? A unique and inviting space tailored to you.
2. Go bold with your colours
In 2025, bold, saturated colours are transforming home interiors. Homeowners are going beyond accent walls, painting entire rooms and even ceilings in rich palettes. “Bold, colour-drenched rooms that use a single hue in varying shades create a cohesive and impactful look,” Lacroix explains.

5. Discreet smart tech for efficient living
Continuing down the path of a natural-feeling home, you can explore opportunities to use new technology that integrates into your home without looking like tech. “As smart home technology advances, people are being creative with using tech in their home while maintaining aesthetics,” says Lacroix.
Consider frame TVs that display artwork when not in use or wood-panelled speakers that blend with natural décor. Charging stations hidden within furniture can keep your space tidy and efficient, eliminating unsightly wires.
