Victoria police say a man has been charged after an act of mischief led them to a cache of suspected illicit drugs.
Officers were called to the 1900-block of Douglas Street on Jan. 7 after a man reportedly caused mischief to a business.
After tracking down the man and arresting him for mischief, police searched him and said they found more than $7,000 and half a pound of suspected drugs, possibly including fentanyl.
The man faces charges of mischief under $5,000, possession for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with a probation order.
