The City of Timmins has closed Brunette Road north and south of Algonquin to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic. In the latest update on the connecting link, officials say the contractor has adjusted traffic signal timing to reduce the frequency of light changes by roughly 75%, allowing traffic to move east to west for longer periods. Crews this week are also focusing on concrete curb and gutter, storm structures, concrete islands and testing the watermains.
