Mohamed Alzahran, a second-year NOSM University student and former Syrian refugee, has won a Canadian Medical Hall of Fame local student award for his healthcare contributions. He co-organized a Syrian Canadian blood donation day and led a northern Ontario PPE campaign. Alzahran hopes to one day pratice medicine in northern Ontario. Madison Marier has more on his story.
