Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of 'an impaired driver who crashed his pickup truck' on Highway 108 north of Elliot Lake, Ont., shortly before 1 a.m. on March 4, 2026. OPP said responding officers arrived to find the driver was walking on the highway in the southbound lane. The 62-year-old local man police said then proceed to flee from officers and refused to cooperate with authorities. The truck was subsequently towed and impounded.
