A 40-year-old Cochrane woman is facing multiple charges after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a drug-related search warrant at a local residence last week.
At about 8 a.m. on Feb. 20, OPP officers carried out the warrant at a home on Seventh Avenue South. During the search, police located and confiscated suspected fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine and crystal methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $5,000.
“Police also seized a digital scale and approximately $570 in Canadian currency,” the OPP said in a news release.
The local woman was arrested at the scene and now faces four counts of drug trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, failing to comply with a probation order and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on March 4.
