Police say a vehicle stuck in a snowbank near a residence in Cobalt, Ont., led to impaired driving charges for a suspect from Sudbury.
Ontario Provincial Police responded at 11 p.m. on Feb. 4 to a report that the vehicle was stuck on Helen Street.
“The OPP located the vehicle and the driver at the scene,” police said in a news release Monday.
“As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to detachment for further testing.”
The 38-year-old driver has been charged with impaired driving, their driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on Feb. 25.
