The safe consumption site in Timmins closed earlier this month, the Canadian Mental Health Association Cochrane-Timmins said in a news release Monday.
The CMHA said a lack of funding led the site to close Aug. 14.
"As such, (it) will no longer be offering services, including on-site counselling, referrals and harm-reduction supply distribution," the release said.
"As the organization and partners have yet to receive a response from the Ontario government on funding, the operation of the site is no longer viable."
While the CMHA and its partners support harm-reduction services such as the supervised consumption site, the group said it no longer has the resources to keep it operating.

"The organization and partners no longer maintain the resources to continue providing harm reduction supplies and/or SCS out of the site," the release said.
"CMHA-CT will provide an update on development initiatives throughout the coming months."
Harm-reduction services remain available through the Porcupine Health Unit from Monday to Friday 8 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m.
After Sept. 3, operating hours will be 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4:30 p.m.
Free Naloxone kits remain available at the Porcupine Health Unit offices (hours noted above); CMHA-CT Pine Street office (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4:30 p.m.), as well as at most pharmacies and the Living Space (available 24/7).
