Three victims beaten with a baseball bat in the Sault

One person in Sault Ste. Marie has been charged after three people in a parking lot were beaten with a baseball bat March 15.

One person has been charged with aggravated assault after police in Sault Ste. Marie received a report March 15 about an attack in a parking lot on Bay Street.

Police responded around 10:20 p.m.

“Upon arrival, officers located three victims with serious physical injuries,” police said in a news release Wednesday.

“An investigation revealed the three victims were assaulted by the accused with a baseball bat.”

A 23-year-old suspect was arrested March 20 and was charged with three counts of aggravated assault. They were released on an undertaking and are scheduled to appear in court on May 12.
