Greater Sudbury fire crews were called to an early morning fire on Lloyd Street on Sunday.

Greater Sudbury deputy fire chief Jesse Oshell told CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca, in a short message, that Greater Sudbury Fire Services received the call about flames at the residence at about 2:10 a.m. on Sept. 1.

Oshell said the fire is considered suspicious and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal will be investigating the blaze.
Members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service have secured the scene awaiting the arrival of investigators.

Fire officials said there were no injuries reported as a result of the fire – however, there is considerable damage to the building and two families have been displaced as a result.

“$200,000 estimated damages,” said Oshell.
